CAUTION!
Disconnect battery ground wire before working on electrical system.

On vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module service mode before disconnecting Battery (A). Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Testing and Inspection.

If the battery is reconnected, follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the battery. Deactivate Telephone/Telematics Control Module ( J526) service mode. Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Testing and Inspection.

Repairs on antenna wires. Refer to => Antenna Wires

Repair to CAN bus lines. Refer to => Service and Repair

RNS-E navigation system is an enhancement of the established navigation system II-D. The function selection switch is integrated in the unit (MMI operation). A DVD is used as the navigation CD.

Screen folds away. DVD drive and two card readers are located behind.

In addition to the navigation system, the RNS-E has a Radio (R), two MP3 card readers and connection possibilities for a CD Changer (R41). The DVD drive can play music CDs.
