Headlight Beam Adjusting Motor, Repair Kit

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Protective eyewear

Protective gloves

Faulty headlamp beam adjusting motors can be replaced by installing repair kit.

Completely replacing the headlamp is not necessary.

Removing





- Remove headlamp, refer to => [ Headlamps, from MY 2007 ] Headlamps, From MY 2007.

- Cut cover - 2 - along perforation using a sturdy box cutter - 1 -.

- Slide adjusting axle ball head down and off ball head mount by tipping adjusting motor.

- Disconnect electrical connector and remove headlamp beam adjusting motor with cover cut off.

- Remove screws and remove headlamp beam adjusting motor from cover.

Installing





- Release retainer tabs - arrow - and remove housing cover from headlamp housing.

- Install new headlamp beam adjusting motor - 1 - with previous screws - 2 - on cover - 4 - from repair kit.





- Connect electrical connector - 3 - with headlamp beam adjusting motor.

- Start by inserting ball end of positioning stem from underneath in reflector socket. To do so, pull reflector to rear.

- Fasten cover with headlamp beam adjusting motor to headlamp housing using screws - 5 - from repair kit.

- Install headlamp.
