Automatic Dimming Interior Rearview Mirror (Y7) Setting Left Hand Drive

It is necessary to set LHD when:

• A new automatic dimming interior rearview mirror (Y7) is installed.

• In the newer automatic day/night interior rearview mirrors (Y7) , the zone sensor has been moved from the mirror base to the mirror housing. The steering side must only be set with these mirrors.

• To recognize the new automatic day/night interior mirror (Y7) , press the button - 2 - longer than 12 seconds; an "L" or an "A" will appear.






- Press the button - 2 - for 12 to 15 seconds until either an "L" (for LHD vehicles) or an "A" (for RHD vehicles) appears.

- Press the button again; the drive side will be changed.

- The display switches automatically after a short time to "C" - for calibrate. The digital compass must now be calibrated. Refer to => [ Digital Compass, Calibrating ] Digital Compass, Calibrating.

- The interior rearview mirror automatic dimming function is reactivated after the calibration is complete => [ Automatic Dimming Interior Rearview Mirror (Y7), Automatic Dimming Function, Switching On and Off ] Automatic Dimming Interior Rearview Mirror (Y7), Automatic Dimming Function, Switching On and Off.
