Exterior Rearview Mirror Housing

Removing






- Remove the mirror glass => [ Mirror Glass ] Mirror Glass.

• Cover the area around the mirror housing with a soft cloth to protect the paint.

- Remove the bolts - 4 - and - 5 -.

- Release the retaining tabs - 3 - in the - direction of arrow A -.

- Release the clip - 1 - and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing from the cover - 2 - - B arrows -.

- Press the mirror adjusting unit down and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing upward.

- Disconnect the connector for the turn signal.

- Remove the side turn signal from the exterior mirror housing. .

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Exterior Mirror Assembly Overview, Vehicles through May 2009 ] Exterior Mirror Assembly Overview, Vehicles Through May 2009.

Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing






- Remove the mirror adjuster. Refer to => [ Mirror Adjusting Unit ] Mirror Adjusting Unit.

• Cover the area around the mirror housing with a soft cloth to protect the paint.

- Remove the bolts - 4 - and - 5 -.

- Open the clip - 2 - and remove the exterior mirror housing - 3 - from the cover - 1 - - arrows -.

- On vehicles with lane change assist, remove the exterior mirror housing - 1 - just enough until the connector is visible.






- Disconnect the lane change assistance warning lamp connector - 2 - on the front side of the mirror adjustment unit bracket - 3 -.

- Remove the exterior mirror housing - 2 - and disconnect the connector - 3 -.






- Remove the bolts - 1 - and - 4 -.

- Remove the turn signal bulb housing - 5 - from the exterior mirror housing - arrow -.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Exterior Mirror Assembly Overview, Vehicles from June, 2009 ] Exterior Mirror Assembly Overview, Vehicles From June, 2009.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the exterior mirror turn signal inside the exterior mirror. .
