Rear Lid Gas-Filled Strut






1 Gas Strut

• To remove, open the rear lid and support it.

• Using screwdriver, lift retaining spring - 2 - as shown and remove gas-filled strut - 1 - from upper ball stud - 3 -.

2 Rear Lid

3 Ball Head Pin

• 20 Nm

• Replace the ball stud if it has to be removed or adjusted.

4 Retaining Spring

• => [ Disengage Retaining Spring ] To remove the gas-filled strut, slightly lift the spring - arrow - with a small screwdriver.

• After completely removing gas-filled strut, ensure correct position when installing.

• Noise insulation component must be installed on the body side.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

- Press the gas-filled struts onto the ball studs to install them.

- Ball head pin tightening specification

Disengage Retaining Spring





- Remove retaining spring - 2 - with small screwdriver - 1 - and disengage gas-filled strut- 3 - , that can finally be removed from ball stud.
