Affected Vehicles
Condition
The sound of rushing air, similar to a secondary air pump noise, can be heard during the initial cold start for up to ninety seconds.
Technical Background
Electronic and mechanical adjustments influence the air flow characteristics in the intake system during the catalytic converter heating phase. This airflow creates sound waves that can be heard at the left front of the vehicle (air cleaner housing area).
The new software will change the air flow characteristic and reduce the noise level.
