Power Front Memory Seats
• From 07.2006, the usual wiring harness routing to connector station under front seat => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing, from 07.2006, Assembly Overview ] Standard Front Seats Overview.
• The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.
• Check version of front seat and of vehicle and perform repairs accordingly.
• Note the two possible versions of the modular wiring routing, Modular Light or Modular => [ Modular Wiring Routing Versions ] Standard Front Seats Overview.
Airbag Adapter, Connecting
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Airbag adapter (VAS 6036)
• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B)
• Before disconnecting ignition and ground wiring, technician must electrostatically discharge him/herself (touch door striker plate or pin briefly).
CAUTION!
The Airbag Adapter (VAS 6036) must stay connected to seat until seat is installed again.

- Disconnect ignition and ground wiring.
- Connect airbag connector - 4 - to airbag adapter connector - 3 -.

Side Airbag Connector, Disconnecting
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B)
- Press catch - 3 - of airbag connector - 2 - out of airbag adapter connector - 1 - and disconnect airbag connector - 2 -.
- Follow measures after connecting battery =>.
• If the airbag malfunction indicator lamp (K75) indicates a malfunction after assembly, check the DTC memory with the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B), clear it, and check it again.
