Vehicle Electrical System Control Module 2

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B)

• Component location: On floor of vehicle beneath front passenger seat.

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" with the (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester display.

- Remove front passenger's seat.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove lower A-pillar trim.

- Fold back floor carpet.

- Remove nuts - arrows - and remove vehicle electrical system control module 2 (J520).





- Disconnect electrical connector - 1 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

If the vehicle electrical system control module 2 was replaced, then it must be coded again with the (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the (VAS 5051B) display.

- Install lower A-pillar trim.

- Install passenger seat.
