Fastener Tightening Specifications





• 1 Always replace

• 2 Only replace the bolt for armored equipped vehicles

• 3 Coat the bolt and the hole in the wheel bearing housing with grease before installing

• 4 Raise the wheel bearing housing before tightening. Refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Procedures.

• 5 If the component is not replaced, remove the locking compound from the ball joint threads first.

• 6 Tighten in a diagonal sequence

• 7 Remove and install the bolts evenly

• 8 Tighten the bolt an additional 180 degrees when the vehicle is resting on its wheels
