Telephone System, Through 29 May 2009
Telephone System, through 29 May 2009
The telephone system consists of the cellular telephone preparation with and without Telematics.
Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) is incorporated into the communication system via the CAN-Bus (Comfort).
The MOST bus connects the operating electronics and telephone control module (J412) to the MMI Infotainment.
The Telephone Baseplate (R126) is installed in the center console/center armrest. It is operated via the Cellular Telephone (R54).
Microphones for Microphone Unit (in front roof module) (R164) are integrated in the Front Interior Light (W1). One microphone (telephone microphone (R38)) is connected with the telephone/Telematics control module (J526).
Fault finding is performed via "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS5051).
Notes on Bluetooth Technology
A standardized radio connection system is used to transmit data between the operating electronics and telephone control module (J412) and the cellular telephone (R54) - Bluetooth Technology.
An additional transmitter/receiver unit is installed inside the operating electronics and telephone control module. A separate Bluetooth antenna (R152) connects the operating electronics and telephone control module and the cellular telephone so that the cellular telephone can be used without a wire connection (wireless).
The range of the radio wave connection is approximately 10 meters.
