Monitor Wire in Backrest

• The lower backrest cover must be removed to remove and install the monitor wire for the multimedia display unit 1 (Y22).

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the lower backrest cover.

- Remove multimedia display unit 1 in headrest. Refer to => [ Multimedia Display Unit 1 ]. Multimedia Display Unit 1

• The monitor wire is routed in the headrest tube. If malfunctioning, the monitor wire at lower connector must be disconnected.

- Disconnect the monitor wire connector in the bottom of the seat and cut it off.

• Raise disconnected connectors. Use them for connector assignment.

- Cut the cable tie - arrow - inside the headrest and pull the monitor wire - 2 - out of the tube - 1 -.





Installing

The monitor wire is supplied without the lower harness connector.

- Feed the monitor wire through the tube in the headrest, starting with the open end, and secure it - arrow -.





- Install harness connector to other end of monitor wire.

Terminal 10 is marked on the connector housing.

Connector Assignment





1. Terminal 30, red

2. Common shielding, black

3. IR-DATA, brown

4. Video, white

5. Video screen, black

6. TxD, blue

7. RxD, yellow

Pins 8 through 10 are not used.

- Perform further installation in reverse order.
