Side Turn Signals, through 08.07

Removing





- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Unfasten and press aside rear section of front wheel housing liner in area of side turn signal indicator.

- Press down retainers - arrows - at turn signal indicator housing - 1 - and carefully take turn signal indicator out of opening in fender.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 2 -.

• Entire side-mounted turn signal indicator must be replaced if LED is faulty.

Installing

Install in reverse order.

Exterior Mirror Turn Signal Lamps, from 09.07

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry lever (80 - 200)

Removing






Risk of injury.

• Wear protective gloves.

• To protect the paint in the area around the mirror housing, tape it off with a soft cloth.

- Press mirror glass - 1 - out of mirror adjusting unit - arrow - using (80 - 200).

- Disconnect the mirror heating electrical connectors - 2 - and - 3 - on the rear side of the mirror glass - 1 -.





- Unclip the electrical connector from the bracket - 5 -, if applicable.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 4 -.

- Remove the screws - 4 - and - 5 -.





- Release the retaining tabs - 3 - in the - direction of arrow A -.

- Release the retaining clip - 1 - and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing from the cover - 2 - - B arrows -.

Vehicles with Lane Change Assist





- Press the mirror adjusting unit down and pull the exterior rearview mirror housing - 1 - upward slightly.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - for the lane change assist warning lamp on the front side of the mirror adjusting unit mount - 3 -.

All Vehicles





- Press the mirror adjusting unit down and remove the exterior rearview mirror housing upward.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 - for the exterior rearview mirror turn signal.

- Remove screws - 1 - and - 4 -.

- Tilt the turn signal housing - 2 - out of the exterior rearview mirror housing - arrow -.

Installing





• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Exterior Rearview Mirror Turn Signal Component Overview, from 09.07 ] Description and Operation.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• The entire exterior mirror turn signal must be replaced if an LED is faulty.

- Insert the tip of the turn signal in the slit in the exterior rearview mirror housing - 3 - - arrow A -.

- Tilt the turn signal bulb housing - 4 - into the exterior rearview mirror housing - arrow B -. The locking tab - 2 - must engage in the mount - 1 -.

- Attach mirror glass at mirror adjusting unit and press on mirror glass.

• Only press on the center of the mirror.
