Right Exhaust Manifold with Catalytic Converters

Removing

• Engine/transmission unit removed and attached to scissor lift platform (VAS 6131).

• All cable ties opened or cut during engine removal must be reinstalled at the same locations during installation.

- Separate the following oxygen sensor connections:





4 Oxygen sensor (O2S) behind three way catalytic converter (TWC) (G130), (4-pin, black)
5 Oxygen sensor (O2S) 2 behind three way catalytic converter (TWC) (G131), (4-pin, brown)
7 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2 (G108), (6-pin, brown)
8 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39), (6-pin, black)

• Disregard the other items.

- Remove bolts - arrows - and pivot the bracket for right exhaust manifolds with catalytic converters downward.





- Remove nuts - 1 to 4 - and right exhaust manifold with catalytic converters.





Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace self-locking nuts.

• Replace seals.

• During installation, all cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.

Tightening Specifications
