Left Suction Jet Pump
Removing
Observe safety precautions. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Fuel Supply System.
Observe rules for cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Fuel Supply System.
- Remove left fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Left Fuel Delivery Unit with Transfer Fuel Pump ]. Left Fuel Delivery Unit with Transfer Fuel Pump
- Remove left Fuel Level Sensor 3 (G237) (tubular sensor) out of fuel tank.
- Through the left fuel tank opening, separate the suction jet pipes - 1 - and - 3 - from Y-piece, by pressing release button.
- Through the right fuel tank opening, press the release buttons - arrows - and remove fuel delivery line - 1 -.
• Ignore - 2 -.
- Pull fuel delivery line out through the left fuel tank opening.
- Through the left fuel tank opening, press the release button - arrow - and pull the bracket for the suction jet pipes from the mounting.
- Pull the left suction jet pipe with lines out toward the left fuel tank opening.
Installing
- Set the left suction jet pump - 1 - into the fuel tank so that is positioned in the recess of the front fuel tank baffle plate - 2 -, as shown in the illustration.
- Press the suction jet pump bracket into the mount until it engages audibly.
- Feed the delivery line through the left fuel tank opening into the right chamber of the fuel tank. Observe the routing:
• The fuel delivery line - 3 - must be routed under the fuel filling line - 2 - in the area of the left fuel tank opening.
• Ignore - 1 -.
- Press the fuel delivery line - 1 - onto the right fuel delivery unit until it engages audibly.
• Ignore - 2 -.
- Through the left fuel tank opening, push the suction jet lines - 1 - and - 3 - onto the Y-fitting until they engage audibly.
- Insert Fuel Level Sensor 3 (G237) in fuel tank.
- Install left fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Left Fuel Delivery Unit with Transfer Fuel Pump ]. Left Fuel Delivery Unit with Transfer Fuel Pump
