Hood Assembly Overview






1 Hood

• A second person is needed during removal and installation to support and hold hood.

• Removing

- Remove the gas-filled strut from the hood => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

- Remove nuts - 4 - on upper hood hinge.

- Remove the front lid.

• Installing

- Installation is reverse of removal.

• Adjusting:

- Align hood between fenders.

- Adjust height of hood over lower part of hood lock.

- Adjust hood to fenders using stop buffers.

2 Screws

• 21 Nm

3 Lid Hinge

• To remove and install, hood must be removed or supported securely.

• Removing

- Remove the gas-filled strut => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - and nuts - 4 -.

• Installing

- Installation is reverse of removal.

4 Nuts

• 21 Nm

5 Gas-Filled Strut

• Removing and installing => [ Gas-Filled Strut ] Gas-Filled Strut.

• Install with tube end of strut at body.

6 Ball Stud

• 21 Nm

7 Nuts

• 8 Nm
