Humidity Sensor (G355)
Removing
Danger of unintended engine ignition.
Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.
- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
With Lane Assist:
- Unclip the top cover - 1 - on the mirror base in the direction of the - arrows -.
- Disengage the bottom cover on the mirror base using a screwdriver and remove it.
Without Lane Assist:
- Pry the cover - 1 - off the mirror base in the direction of the - arrows -.
All Vehicles
- Remove the connector - 2 - and disconnect it.
- Turn the interior rearview mirror on the base - 1 - counterclockwise in the direction of the - arrow - as far as the stop.
- Remove interior mirror from holding plate.
- Spread the cover - 1 - apart slightly on both sides, in the direction of the - arrows -, and remove it from the interior rearview mirror base - 2 -.
- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 -.
- Using a small screwdriver - 3 -, carefully press the humidity sensor (G355) - 4 - off the cover - 1 - in the direction of the - arrow - and remove it upward.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
- Carefully place the humidity sensor (G355) inside of the guides.
• The cover cannot be installed if the humidity sensor (G355) is not inserted correctly.
- Install the interior rearview mirror.
