Condition
After replacing the ESP ABS control unit, the control unit cannot be coded via SVM spec/actual.
Technical Background
A new generation of ESP ABS control unit (J104) was placed into production during the middle of the 2010 model year. This new generation control unit must be coded and parameterized using an SVM code, which is listed in ETKA under the part number.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
When replacing the ESP ABS control unit (J104), perform an SVM documentation feedback using an SVM code.
No software update is performed during this SVM communication.
