Lighting - Trunk Light Inoperative

Affected Vehicles





Condition

^ The trunk light is inoperative when opening the trunk.

^ Vehicles with LED taillights (PR number 8SL) are affected.

^ The cut-off stages of the Battery Data Manager (address word 19) are not active.

^ The convenience system control module (address word 46) is not in Production Mode [indicated by DTC 3160 (production mode active)].

^ The light cannot be turned on using the Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM).

^ The condition is static and is not changed by closing and reopening the trunk.

SVM Update Instructions

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





2. Update the convenience system control module (J393) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
