AFFECTED VEHICLES

CONDITION

Creaking noises from the front of the vehicle when steering or driving on uneven roads.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Premature hardening of the grease leads to poor lubrication of the joint on the bearing arm.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

Parts manufactured with optimized lubricant.

SERVICE

Place the vehicle on a lift and use chassis ears or other technique to determine whether the noises are caused by the lower ball joint (Figure 1, Point 1).

If the lower ball joints are isolated as the source of the noise, replace both lower ball joints.
