Left Intermediate Pipe

Removing

- Remove the primary catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Primary Catalytic Converter ] Primary Catalytic Converter.

- Remove the rear coolant pipe. Refer to => [ Rear Coolant Pipe ] Rear Coolant Pipe.

- Remove the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler. Refer to => [ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Auxiliary Cooler ] Exhaust Gas Recirculation Auxiliary Cooler.

- Remove the bolts - 3 - and - 4 - and remove the exhaust gas recirculation pipes.






Bolts - 1 - and - 2 - were already removed.

- Remove the air guide hose by loosening the hose clamps - arrows -.






- Remove the bolts and nuts - arrows - and remove the left intermediate pipe.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Exhaust Manifold Overview ] Exhaust Manifold Overview, => [ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Overview ] Exhaust Gas Recirculation Overview.

Replace the seals, O-rings and the self-locking nuts.

- Install the air duct hoses and screw-type clamps. Refer to => [ Install the Air Duct Hoses and Screw-Type Clamps. ] Air Duct Pipes and Air Duct Hoses Overview, Vehicles Built Through 05.10.

- Install the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler. Refer to => [ Exhaust Gas Recirculation Auxiliary Cooler ] Exhaust Gas Recirculation Auxiliary Cooler.

- Install the rear coolant pipes. Refer to => [ Rear Coolant Pipe ] Rear Coolant Pipe.

- Install primary catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Primary Catalytic Converter ] Primary Catalytic Converter.
