Defroster Door Motor (V107)

Defroster Door Motor (V107)

Defroster Door Motor Position Sensor (G135) is installed in Defroster Door Motor.

This motor is fastened on the right on heating & A/C unit in vehicles with right-side steering, refer to => [ Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V111) and (V300) ] Retaining Plate With Control Motors (V111) and (V300).

Motor is secured to a retaining plate. This retaining plate can then only be removed and installed with the instrument panel installed when bolts - C - are not tightened too tightly, refer to => [ Retaining Plate With Defroster Door Motor (V107), Left Side Vent Motor (V299) and Left Center Vent Motor (V110) ] Retaining Plate With Defroster Door Motor (V107), Left Side Vent Motor (V299) and Left Center Vent Motor (V110). Since on the other hand the connection of the lever on the control motors to the levers on the doors cannot be checked with the instrument panel installed, it makes sense to remove the instrument panel and remove and install the control motor with the retaining plate installed, despite the great amount of work involved to remove and install this control motor.

Removing

- Remove instrument panel.

- Remove bolts - E - from Defroster Door Motor - A -, remove motor.

- Disconnect connector - D - from motor - A -.

If necessary, mark the connectors (same version on all control motors) and control motors (different versions, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog) if it is no longer desirable to remove only one control motor.

Installing

- Connect connector - D - to motor - A -.

- Insert studs on lever of Defroster Door Motor - A - into guiding groove of lever on defroster door - D -.
