Reducing Agent Injector (N474)
Removing
- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode.
The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.
• Always observe the safety precautions when working with reducing agent => [ Observe the following when working on the reducing agent metering system: ] Safety Precautions.
• Wear safety glasses.
• Lay a cloth below to catch escaping reducing agent.
- Press the release buttons - arrows - and remove the reducing agent hose - 1 -.
- Disconnect the connector - 2 -.
- Loosen the clamps - 3 - and remove the reducing agent injector - 4 -.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ AdBlue(R) Injector Overview ] Description and Operation.
• Replace the gasket.
• Installation position: The tabs in the reducing agent injector - 1 - must fit into the mounts in the SCR catalytic converter - 2 -.
- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode.
- Adapting adaptation value after draining AdBlue(R) or replacing components. Refer to => [ Adapting Adaptation Value after Draining AdBlue(R) or Replacing Components ] Testing and Inspection.
