Differential Pressure Sensor (G505)

Differential Pressure Sensor (G505)

The differential pressure sensor determines the particulate filter load level.

Removing

- The differential pressure sensor - 3 - installed on the front side.

- Spray the hoses from the differential pressure sensor with thinner before removing.

- Pull the hoses straight off the connections to remove. The connections break off of the differential pressure sensor very easily.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 - from the differential pressure sensor.

- Remove both bolts and the differential pressure sensor.

Installing

- Note the following when installing:

Clean out the hoses on the differential pressure sensor with compressed air blow in the direction of the particulate filter in case they are blocked or iced over with condensation.

Check for secure fit and leaks.

If the particulate filter pressure lines were removed, tighten them to the tightening specification.

For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oxygen Sensors and Exhaust Temperature Control Overview ] Oxygen Sensors and Exhaust Temperature Control Overview.

An adaptation must be performed after replacing the differential pressure sensor and/or particulate filter. The procedures are also described in Guided Fault Finding.
