Rear Parking Aid Sensors






Component location: In lower part of bumper - arrows -.

Removing

Outer Sensors:

- On vehicles with trailer hitch, remove rear bumper.

- Reach behind bumper cover from below.

• On vehicles with S-line equipment and a trailer hitch, the rear bumper cover may not be removed.

Inner Sensor:

- Remove rear bumper cover.

• On vehicles with S-line equipment and a trailer hitch, the rear bumper cover may not be removed.

All Vehicles






- Press both retainer tabs to side - arrows - and press sensor - 2 - from outside towards inside.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 1 - at sensor.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Inner Sensor:

- Install the cover on the rear bumper.

Outer Sensors:

- On vehicles with trailer hitch, install rear bumper.

Vehicles With Lane Change Assist:

On vehicles with Audi side assist, Lane change assistance control module (J769) / (J770) must be re-calibrated each time bumper cover is removed. Refer to => [ Lane Change Assistance, Preparing for Calibration ] Lane Change Assistance, Preparing For Calibration.
