Door Gap Cover







Door Gap Cover

Make sure the anti-friction films fit correctly on the door and that the edge protectors are installed before installing.

Replace the film or protectors if necessary.






1 Front Cover

To remove, unclip to beginning at back.

When installing, lower edge of cover must encompass door edge.

Clip on cover beginning at back and working forward.

Clips must engage audibly.

2 Rear Cover

Must engage audibly when installing.

Replacing The Anti-Friction Film

The adhesive surfaces must free of dust and grease. Clean with Cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Roller (3356)

Press the anti-friction film over the entire length using the (3356).

Applying The Anti-Friction Film

Apply Conservation wax (D 308 SP5 A1) to the areas at the bottom of the door edge and around the holes after installing the edge protectors and the anti-friction film.






1 Anti-friction Film

Self-adhesive.

The anti-friction film must seal the upper edge of the door gap cover as illustrated.

Mark the upper edge of the door gap cover according to the old anti-friction film, for example, with tape.

Remove the protective film and press the anti-friction film onto the door matching up with the marking.

Peel off some of the protective film and press the anti-friction film onto the door in stages.

4 Anti-friction Film

Self-adhesive

5 Edge Protection

Press it on the lower edge of the door.

6 Door Gap Cover

7 Anti-friction Film

Peel off the protective film and apply the anti-friction film centered to the holes.

Fender Cover Strip





- To remove cover strip - 1 -, unclip sides from above.
