Left Footwell Door Motor (V108) - Comfort Version
• Installed only in vehicles with Comfort version A/C system
• On vehicles with Basic version of Climatronic Control Module (J255) , left and right footwell doors are operated by the Left Footwell Door Motor (both left and right doors are connected to each other via a shaft, motor is installed at right on heating & A/C unit).
• Left Footwell Door Motor - Basic version, removing and installing, refer to => [ Right Footwell Door Motor (V109) (or Left Footwell Door Motor (V108)) ] Right Footwell Door Motor (V109) (or Left Footwell Door Motor (V108)).
• Left Footwell Door Motor Position Sensor (G139) is installed in Left Footwell Door Motor.
Removing
- Remove retaining plate - C - with control motors (V108) and (V158) => [ Retaining Plate With Left Footwell Door Motor (V108) and Left Temperature Door Motor (V158) ] Retaining Plate With Left Footwell Door Motor (V108) and Left Temperature Door Motor (V158).
- Mark the control motors if necessary versions vary. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog.
- Remove bolts - D - from Left Footwell Door Motor - A - and remove motor.
Installing
Remove control motor on retaining plate.
- Install retaining plate - C - with control motors (V108) and (V158) => [ Retaining Plate With Left Footwell Door Motor (V108) and Left Temperature Door Motor (V158) ] Retaining Plate With Left Footwell Door Motor (V108) and Left Temperature Door Motor (V158).
• Check the lever position of the control motors before installing retaining plate, the retaining plate can only be installed correctly when it is located in the service position, refer to => [ Retaining Plate With Left Footwell Door Motor (V108) and Left Temperature Door Motor (V158) ] Retaining Plate With Left Footwell Door Motor (V108) and Left Temperature Door Motor (V158).
- Install the removed components again in reverse order.
- Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) and erase DTCs displayed if necessary using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding".
- If necessary, perform a basic setting and output diagnostic test mode on the A/C system using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding".
