Steering Rack, Checking Center Position

- Perform steering centering based on instructions from alignment computer.

- Check to ensure that the steering wheel is positioned as horizontally as possible on the steering column when the wheels are in the "straight ahead" position.

- Reposition steering wheel if necessary.

Otherwise centering of toothed shaft cannot be guaranteed!

If steering wheel was repositioned, zero adjustment must be performed on steering angle sensor (G85). => Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051 B).
