Input Shaft Assembly Overview

• Do not over-stretch circlips. Always replace damaged or over-stretched circlips.





1 Securing ring

• Secures input shaft and ball bearing inside the housing/transfer case

2 Complete input shaft

• After removing the circlip => [ (Item 1) Securing ring ] removing and installing, refer to => [ Transfer Case ] Transfer Case, Disassembly and Assembly

3 Needle bearing

• Removing => [ Remove needle bearing from
the input shaft ] Input Shaft

• Installing => [ Install needle bearing into
the input shaft. ] Input Shaft

• Press-in depth inside the input shaft => [ Install needle bearing into
the input shaft. ] Input Shaft

4 Input Shaft

5 Securing ring

• Secure ball bearing => [ (Item 6) Ball bearing ] on the input shaft

6 Ball bearing

• Pressing off => [ Remove ball bearing from the
input shaft ] Input Shaft

• Pressing on => [ Install ball bearing on the
input shaft ] Input Shaft

7 Transfer case housing

8 Shaft seal

• For input shaft

• Replace, refer to => [ Input Shaft Seal ] Input Shaft Seal
