Driver Seat Console

Removing

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information ] Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information.

- Remove the front seat.

• Mechanically adjustable seat, refer to => [ Driver Seat Assembly Overview ] Driver Seat Assembly Overview

• Memory seat, Power seat and Comfort seat, refer to => [ Driver Seat Assembly Overview ] Driver Seat Assembly Overview.

- Remove front console trim. Refer to => [ Front Console Trim, Driver Seat ] Front Console Trim, Driver Seat.

- Remove left console trim. Refer to => [ Left Console Trim, Driver Seat ] Left Console Trim, Driver Seat.

- Remove the bolts - 1 -.






- Remove console - 2 -.

Installation

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information ] Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• The screws are microencapsulated and must be replaced after each loosening.

• Before installing the new screws, the threads of the corresponding nuts must be cleaned.

- Position console - 2 -.






- Attach screws - 1 - in sequence - A -, - B -, - C - and - D -.

- Tighten screws - 1 - in sequence - A -, - B -, - C - and - D - to the specification. Refer to => [ Driver Seat Bracket Assembly Overview ] Driver Seat Bracket Assembly Overview.
