Cylinder Head Assembly: Specifications

Cylinder Head, Tightening Specifications and Sequence:

Replace bolts which have been tightened to torque.





Tighten bolts in 5 stages in - 1 to 5 - sequence as follows:

Install bolts by hand as far as stop.
Tighten 30 Nm
Tighten 60 Nm
Tighten an additional 90°
Tighten an additional 90°

Insert bolts - arrows - with locking compound and tighten to 8 Nm.
Tighten the bolts - arrows - an additional 90°.

Cylinder Head Distortion





Check cylinder head at multiple points for distortion, using straight edge and feeler gauges.

Max. permissible distortion 0.1 mm.

Reworking Dimension, Cylinder Head





Resurfacing cylinder head (face grinding) is only permissible to minimum dimension - a -.

Minimum dimension: - a - = 139.5 mm

Camshaft Guide frame tightening sequence





Tighten bolts in 2 stages in - 1 to 24 - sequence as follows.

Install bolts by hand as far as stop
Tighten the bolts to 8 Nm
