Vent Frame, Checking

Vent Frame, Checking

- Check for blockage of the air ducts between the vent grilles - C - of the luggage compartment lining (left and right) and the two vent frames - A -.

Sealing lips - B - in ventilation frames - A - must move freely and close by themselves.

Blocked channels or jammed sealing lips may cause windows to fog up.

In this illustration, ventilation frame is depicted with rear bumper removed.

One vent frame is installed on left and right for forced air extraction.

To ensure that sealing lips - B - close correctly, ventilation frame - A - must be installed on the correct side.

For the passenger compartment ventilation system to function properly, the channels worked in behind the left and right luggage compartment lining to air duct to ventilation frame - A - and both ventilation grates - C - must not be blocked.
