Damper and Bracket, Removing from Transfer Case and Installing

• The damper is not installed on all transfer cases. Allocate damper.

Transfer case damper, removing and installing

- Disconnect damper and bracket - A - from the transfer case - B - by removing 3 bolts - C -.





Installation is in reverse sequence by tightening bolts - C - to the tightening specification.

• When ordering as a replacement part, the damper - 2 - and bracket - 3 - are supplied individually.





- Disconnect damper - 2 - from bracket - 3 - by removing bolt - 1 -.

- Before installing, clean out any locking fluid still left in threaded hole for bolt - 1 - in bracket using a thread cutter.

- Use a new bolt - 1 - to attach the damper and tighten to tightening specification.
