Operating Lever Mounting Bracket

Removing

Proceed as follows:

- Remove the engine compartment lid lock cable operating lever => [ Cable Operating Lever ] Cable Operating Lever.

- Remove the sill panel strip from the sill panel in the transition area to the lower A-pillar trim.

- Remove the lower A pillar trim.

- Disengage the nipple - 2 - on the end of the cable on the operating lever mounting bracket from the counterhold.





- Remove the cable - 4 - from the operating lever - 3 -.

- Remove the nuts - arrows - and operating lever mounting bracket - 1 -.

Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Cable Operating Lever, Lever Mounting Bracket, and Lid Lock Cable Assembly Overview ] Cable Operating Lever, Lever Mounting Bracket, and Lid Lock Cable Assembly Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- First, slide the cable - 4 - in the operating lever - 3 - in as far as the stop.

- Engage the nipple - 2 - on the end of the cable in the counterhold on the operating lever mounting bracket - 1 -.

- Install the lower A-pillar trim.

- Install the sill panel strip in the transition area to the lower A-pillar trim.

- Install the engine compartment lid lock cable operating lever => [ Cable Operating Lever ] Cable Operating Lever.
