Parking Brake Assembly Overview

• Applies to steel and ceramic brakes.





1 Parking Brake Lever

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Parking Brake Lever ] Parking Brake Lever.

• The replacement part is delivered assembled.

• The indicator lamp switch is installed under the parking brake.

2 Parking Brake Switch

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Parking Brake Switch ] Service and Repair.

• For parking brake indicator light in instrument cluster.

3 Nut

• 15 Nm

4 Compensator

• With adjusting nut for adjusting parking brake cable.

• Adjusting the parking brake, refer to => [ Parking Brake, Adjusting ] Adjustments.

5 Left and Right Parking Brake Cable

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Parking Brake Cable, Removing from Brake Caliper and Installing ] Parking Brake Cable, Removing From Brake Caliper and Installing.

• The parking brake function, play and effectiveness are checked during the maintenance road test.
