A/C System Control and Regulation Components
• If there is an A/C system malfunction, check the Climatronic Control Module (J255) DTC memory first. Refer to Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing And Information System VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding".
• If no malfunction is displayed, read the Climatronic control module measured values and activate the component with the "final control diagnosis ". Refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding".
• "Guided Fault Finding" describes the electrical testing procedure for the various control motors, potentiometers and sensors. Refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding".
• Repairing the A/C system without opening the refrigerant circuit, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit, Repair ] Refrigerant Circuit, Repair.
• Repair work on the A/C system that requires opening the refrigerant circuit, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit, Servicing ] [1][2]Refrigerant Circuit.
After finishing the repairs, perform the following work on the Climatronic control module using the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding":
- Check the DTC memory and erase any malfunctions shown.
- Check coding.
- Check the adaptation if necessary.
- Perform the basic setting.
