A/C System Control and Regulation Components

If there is an A/C system malfunction, check the Climatronic Control Module (J255) DTC memory first. Refer to Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing And Information System VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding".

If no malfunction is displayed, read the Climatronic control module measured values and activate the component with the "final control diagnosis ". Refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding".

"Guided Fault Finding" describes the electrical testing procedure for the various control motors, potentiometers and sensors. Refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding".

Repairing the A/C system without opening the refrigerant circuit, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit, Repair ] Refrigerant Circuit, Repair.

Repair work on the A/C system that requires opening the refrigerant circuit, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit, Servicing ] [1][2]Refrigerant Circuit.

After finishing the repairs, perform the following work on the Climatronic control module using the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding":

- Check the DTC memory and erase any malfunctions shown.

- Check coding.

- Check the adaptation if necessary.

- Perform the basic setting.
