Air Intake Components

• Various identical connectors are installed in the air intake unit. mark the electrical connectors before disconnecting them (they could become mixed up).

• Various control motors are installed on the A/C unit and in the air intake unit. Their electrical values are different (different adjustment ranges for the installed potentiometers). Mark the control motors before removing them (so they are not switched).





1 Air Intake Unit Water Drain

• Water that enters the fresh air intake in the air intake unit drains here.

• A plastic piece to reduce the diameter is inserted in the water drain hose.

2 Complete Air Intake Unit

4 Grille in Front Of Fresh Air Intake

5 Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G89)

• On the Audi R8, the fresh air intake duct temperature sensor is not included in the electrical evaluation.

6 Air Flow Door Motor (V71)

• With the Back Pressure Door Motor Position Sensor (G113).

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Flow Door Motor with Position Sensor ] Service and Repair.

7 Recirculation Door Motor (V113)

• With the Recirculation Door Motor Position Sensor (G143).

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Recirculation Door Motor ] Service and Repair.

8 Fresh Air Blower (V2)

• Checking, refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fresh Air Blower ] Service and Repair.

9 Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J126)

• The fresh air blower control module is activated by the Climatronic Control Module (J255) via the A/C system LIN Bus databus system. Check using vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

• The Climatronic control module and the fresh air blower control module exchange information via the A/C system LIN bus databus.

• For checking exchanged information and the signals, refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
