Cover and Cushion, Separating from Backrest Frame





1 - Cover and Cushion

• Removing

- Remove seat.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Seats.

- Remove headrest. Refer to => [ Headrests with Locking Mechanism ] Front Seats.

- Remove headrest guides. Refer to => [ Headrest Guides ].

- Remove the manual entry assist handle. Refer to => [ Manual Entry Assistance Handle ] Front Seats.

- Remove the manual entry assist trim. Refer to => [ Manual Entry Assistance Trim ] Front Seats.

- Remove backrest cover panel. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] Front Seats.

- Pry out the left and right circlips - 4 - (Qty. 4).

- Open the left and right Velcro fasteners - 5 - (Qty. 4).

- Open cable tie - 8 -.

- Remove the backrest heating cable - 6 -.

- Disengage the side molding - 2 - (Qty. 2).

- Remove the lower molding - 3 - (quantity: 3).

- Remove side airbag. Refer to => [ Side Airbag ] Side Airbags, Servicing.

- Pry out plastic tabs- 7 -(Qty. 5).

- Pry off the clips - 9 - (quantity: 3).

- Remove cushion with cover.

• Installing

- To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

2 - Side Molding (Qty. 2)

3 - Lower Molding (quantity: 3)

4 - Clamps (Qty. 4), Left and Right

• Commercially available according to the manufacturer instructions.

• Use only cushion clips.

5 - Velcro Connectors (Qty. 4), Left and Right

6 - Backrest Heating Cable

7 - Plastic Tabs (Qty. 5)

8 - Cable Tie

9 - Clamps (Qty. 3)

• Commercially available according to the manufacturer instructions.

• Use only cushion clips.

Cover, Separating from Cushion





1 - Cover

• When replacing the cover, also order the sill side trim, see replacement part list.

• If the cover is new - 1 -, then the cover - 1 - must be cut around the backrest release.

• Removing

- Pry out grip channels - 4 - from plastic clips - 3 - using a screwdriver.

• Installing

- To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

- Replace damaged plastic clips.
