• Modular wiring routing came into effect with series production of seats.

• Check version of front seat and of vehicle and perform repairs accordingly.

Front Seat, Bringing to Service Position

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)

Service Position, Implementing

- Move seat as far back and up as possible.

• The surrounding area was not shown in the illustration for clarity purposes.

- Pry cover caps - 1 - from seat rail covers - 3 - and seat fore/aft adjustment spindle - 2 - with Trim Removal Wedge (3409).

• Do not disconnect electrical wires.

Service Position, Resetting

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:

- Engage cover correctly with connector station.
