Telematics Emergency Battery, Replacing
• Emergency battery should be replaced very 4 years on vehicles with Telematics.
CAUTION!
Activate Telematics control module Service Mode before disconnecting battery. Refer to Guided Fault Finding
The Telematics control module is located under the driver's seat.
Removing:
- Position driver's seat all the way back.
- Move floor covering back.
- Release electronic box cover and open box - arrows -.
The control module is only wedged into the electronics box.
- Pry transceiver - 1 - in direction of arrow out of electronics box - 2 -.
- Remove bolt - 1 - on battery compartment cover - 2 - and open battery compartment.
- Remove emergency battery - 3 - and disconnect connector - 2 -.
Installing:
- Perform installation in reverse order of removal.
If the battery is reconnected, the following measures must be performed:
• Deactivate Telematics control module service mode. Refer to Guided Fault Finding.
• Activate electric window regulator 1-touch up/down feature. refer to Owner's Manual.
• Turn ignition key in ignition lock left as far as stop one time
• After reconnecting voltage supply, the ABS warning light may go out after driving a few meters.
