Telematics

Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) is incorporated into the communication system via the CAN-Bus (Comfort).

It is operated via the Telematics control head (E264) inside the front interior lamp (W1) and via the cellular telephone (R54).

The Telematics system links the traffic information, service call and emergency call functions to each other.

The Telephone/Telematics Control Module is also the cellular telephone preparation at the same time.

Via a Telematics Service Center, an emergency call or a roadside assistance call can be sent if necessary or current traffic information can also be obtained.

The Telephone/Telematics Control Module determines the exact vehicle position from GPS data, which is transmitted to the Telematics Service Center.

If Airbag Control Module (J234) triggers a crash signal, an emergency call is made automatically.
