HID Headlamps

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment.

HID Headlamp


Risk of death due to high voltage, injury risk and environmental hazard.

• Observe usage and safety information for gas discharge headlamps.

Removing

- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery ground (ND) wire. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Remove the HID headlamp ignition coil. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, through 08.07 ] HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, Through 08.07 or => [ HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, from 09.07 ]. HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, From 09.07

- Open the wire retainer - 1 -.





- Remove the HID bulb - 2 - out of headlamp housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install the HID headlamp ignition coil. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, through 08.07 ] HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, Through 08.07 or => [ HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, from 09.07 ]. HID Headlamp Ignition Coil, From 09.07
