Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 24 number 09-17 dated August 26, 2009 for reasons listed below.

Affected Vehicles

Condition

The ESP/ABS light is on with the following DTCs present:

^ DTC 01314 (Engine Control Module - Please check DTC memory) in the ESP/ABS control module.

^ DTC U1025 (Climatronic Control Module check DTC memory) in the engine control module.

^ DTC 00819 (High Pressure Sensor -G65- - Open/Short circuit to Ground) in the climate control module.

The functionality of the ESP/ABS system and the HVAC blower control is unaffected by this condition.

Technical Background

The G65 high pressure sensor intermittently loses LIN communication with the climate control unit. When the LIN bus communication is lost, the climate control sets DTC 00819, which causes the ECM to set DTC U1025. The ECM DTC will then cause the ESP module to set DTC 01314 and turn on the ESP light.

Production Solution

Optimized ECM software to cease setting DTC U1025 when the climate control sets the sporadic DTC 00819. A new G65 high pressure sensor supplier to be introduced at a later time.

Service

1. Do not replace the G65 high pressure sensor at this time.

2. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions shown below.

3. Update the engine control module (J623) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
