Release Lever Mounting Bracket

Removing






- Remove the driver side instrument panel cover.

- Remove lower A pillar trim.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Remove hood control cable - 4 - from the bracket and remove at the idler pulley - arrow -.

- Detach control cable fitting - 5 - from operating lever - 6 -.

- Remove operating lever mounting bracket - 3 -.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• For the correct tightening specifications; refer to => [ Hood Control Cable, Control Cable Operating Lever Assembly overview ] Hood Control Cable, Control Cable Operating Lever Assembly Overview.

- The control cable fitting must be inserted correctly in the operating lever.

- Insert the control cable in the idler pulley and press the control cable sleeve into the bracket.

- Installing the lower A-pillar trim.

- Installing the instrument panel cover on the driver side.
