Telephone/Navigation System/Auxiliary Heater Antenna
• All vehicles with a telephone and/or navigation and/or an auxiliary heater have a telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna (R66) (roof antenna).
• The antenna wires are connected to the cellular telephone amplifier (R86) and/or to the navigation system with CD drive control module (J401) at the left side of the luggage compartment.
• The antenna wire to the auxiliary heater radio receiver (R64) is routed along the right D-pillar.
• The trim must be removed from the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna up to the control module brackets inside the luggage compartment at the rear and on the left and right side when replacing the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna.
Removing
- Remove the trim panels on the left and right sides of the luggage compartment.
- Remove the trim on the left and right D-pillars.
- Lower the rear molded headliner.
- Remove nut - 2 - (5 Nm).
- Disconnect the antenna wire connectors from the cellular telephone amplifier/navigation system with CD drive control module/auxiliary heater radio receiver.
- Remove the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna - 1 - from the roof.
Installing
- Mount the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna - 1 - on the roof and align it with the drive direction.
- Install the antenna wires - 3 - into the slot on the antenna base - arrow - and install the nut - 2 - (5 Nm).
The antenna wire - 3 - must be inside the slit in the nut - 2 -.
- Align the telephone/navigation system/auxiliary heater antenna - 2 - in drive direction again before tightening nut - 3 -.
- Perform further installation in reverse order.
