Removing






Outer Sensor

- Remove the bolts - arrows - on the bottom side of the bumper cover.

Vehicles with a Rear Muffler






- Remove the nuts - 5 and 7 - and remove the retaining pin - 6 -.

- Remove the pin - arrow - and expanding clip - 1 -.

- Remove the nuts - 2 and 3 - and remove the rear aerodynamic underbody trim panel - 4 -.

Continuation for All Sensors

- Reach behind the bumper cover from below.

Inner Sensor - Sedan

- Remove the rear bumper cover.

Continuation for All Sensors






- Press both retainer tabs to side - arrows - and press the sensor - 2 - from outside towards inside.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - from the sensor.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Inner Sensor - Sedan

- Install the cover on the rear bumper.

Vehicles with Lane Change Assist

If the bumper cover was removed, the lane change assistance control module must be calibrated again. Refer to => [ Lane Change Assistance, Preparing for Calibration ] Lane Change Assistance, Preparing For Calibration.

Outer Sensor

- Install the lower section of the bumper cover.
