Rear Lid Lock Emergency Release

• The emergency release is installed only in vehicles with a fixed rear panel.

1 Lid Trim

2 Release

• When re-installing, route the rear lid lock cable starting on the inside of the lid, over the hinge and into the passenger compartment.

• The clips for the cable have been prepositioned and can be inserted into the holes.

• Before removing, remove the cover on the latch

• First disconnect from the cable mounting bracket on the latch and then disconnect from the operating lever.

3 Cover

• Unclip

4 Rear Lid

• When removing the rear lid, detach the cable on the lid lock and pull it out of the lid.

5 Rear Lid Lock

6 Emergency Release Operating Lever

• When installing, first attach the release cable on the operating lever and then press it into the cable mounting bracket on the lid lock.

Routing on the Body Side






1 Release

• Starting from the lid lock, route the cable over the lid hinge and into the passenger compartment as illustrated.

2 Rear Lid Lock

3 Rear Lid Hinge

4 Cover

• Mounted on the lid hinge and attach it to the back side with the straps.

• The cable must be correctly routes into the cover.

5 Clip

• The clips have been prepositioned and must be clipped into the holes.
