Intake Manifold Overview






1 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor (G42) Bolt

• 9 Nm

2 - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor (G42)

- Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 (N80)

4 - Intake Manifold

• Tighten to 9 Nm.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Intake Manifold Upper Section ] Intake Manifold Upper Section

5 - Channel Separating Plate Vacuum Diaphragm (intake manifold flaps)

6 - High Pressure Pump Bolts

• First tighten the bolts diagonally hand-tight, then to 5 Nm and then to 20 Nm.

7 - Fuel Supply Line Connectors

• Coming from the tank

8 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve (N276)

9 - High Pressure Pump

• With fuel pressure regulator valve

• There is an electric fuel pump located in the tank that supplies the fuel to the mechanical high pressure pump.

• When installing, make sure that no dirt enters the fuel system.

• The fuel system must be without pressure to install the high-pressure pump, releasing fuel pressure, refer to => [ Releasing Pressure in High Pressure Area ] Releasing Pressure In High Pressure Area

• Install the fuel lines free of tension

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ High Pressure Pump ] High Pressure Pump

10 - Roller Tappet

• Can remain in the vacuum pump after removing the high pressure pump, removable

11 - Fuel Supply Line Connectors

• 40 Nm

• No replacement part, it is part of the high pressure pump

• Do not loosen

• There is an adapter between the connection and the fuel supply line, depending on the date of manufacture.

• If the adapter is there, replace it. Refer to the Parts Catalog

12 - Fuel Supply Line Union Nut

• Install the fuel lines free of tension

• 20 Nm

13 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve (N316)

14 - Fuel Injectors

• Replace the O-ring and Teflon(R) ring

• Note correct installation position

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fuel Injectors ] Fuel Injectors

15 - Intake Manifold Support Nut

• 10 Nm

16 - Intake Manifold Support

17 - Intake Manifold Support Bolt

• 23 Nm

18 - Throttle Valve Control Module (J338) Bolts

• 10 Nm

19 - Throttle Valve Control Module, Electronic Power Control (EPC) Throttle Drive (G186)

• EPC throttle drive angle sensor 1 (G187) and EPC throttle drive angle sensor 2 (G188)

• After replacing the throttle valve control module, it must be adapted to the Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623). Use a vehicle diagnosis tester.

20 - Gasket

• Replace

• Tightening Specifications: 10 Nm
