Daytime Running Lamp: Service and Repair

Front Daytime Running Lamp Bulbs (L174)/(L175)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Gloves

• Protective Eyewear

• Box Cutter

Removing

- Remove the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

• To replace the daytime running lamp bulb, the headlamp housing must be cut at the location provided with a sharp box cutter.

• A cap can be ordered to seal the opening. Refer to the parts catalog.

There is a risk of injury and damage.

• Wear protective gloves and eyewear.

• To avoid damaged electrical wires in the headlamp, do not cut too deep.

- Cut the cover - 2 - out of the headlamp with a sharp box cutter.






- Turn the socket - 1 - counterclockwise - arrow - and remove it from the headlamp.

- Release the retaining spring - arrow - and disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - from the socket - 1 -.






Installing






Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Insert the new bulb in the headlamp socket, taking care not to touch the glass bulb with bare hands.

- Close the opening in the headlamp with the cap - 1 - from the repair kit. Repair to the parts catalog.

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.
