Headlamp Housing Mount Bracket

Removing






- Remove front bumper cover.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and then remove the left and right air guide - 1 - from the air filter housing.

- Remove the headlamp housing:

• Halogen Headlamps: through MY 2012, refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

• HID Headlamps: through MY 2012, refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- If equipped, remove the nozzle for the headlamp washer system. Refer to => [ Spray Nozzles ] Spray Nozzles.

- Disconnect the connector on the front airbag crash sensor.

- Remove the bolts - 1, 2, 3 -.








- Release the tab - 5 - - arrow - and remove the bracket - 4 - from the lock carrier.

- If the bracket is replaced:

• Remove the headlamp housing mount. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing Mount ] Headlamp Housing Mount.

• Remove the crash sensor for the front airbag.

Installing

• For the correct tightening specification, refer to => [ Headlamp Housing Mount Overview, through MY 2012 ] Headlamp Housing Mount Overview, Through MY 2012.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the headlamp housing mount and tighten the screws - arrows - hand-tight.

- Install the bracket on the fender and on the lock carrier and tighten the screws - arrows - hand-tight.

- Install the headlamp washer system spray nozzle. Refer to => [ Spray Nozzles ] Spray Nozzles.

- Install the bumper cover.

- Align the bumper cover gaps according to the body contours.

• Gap dimension = even gap dimension.

- Tighten the bolts.

- Inspect the gaps again and repeat the adjustment if necessary.

- Install the headlamp housing:

• Halogen Headlamps: through MY 2012, refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

• HID Headlamps: through MY 2012, refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Adjust headlamps. Refer to => [ Headlamps and Fog Lamps, Checking and Adjusting ] Adjustments.
