CAN Telephone Transceiver (R36)

The telephone transceiver is located under the right front seat.

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Use the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051).

Removing

- Remove the right front seat.

- Fold back the carpet.

- Disengage cover of E-box - 2 - and open the E-box - 1 -.






The telephone transceiver is only wedged into the electronics box.

- Pry the telephone transceiver - 5 - out of the E-box - 4 -.






- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.






- Disconnect Bluetooth(R) antenna (R152) - 1 -.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

- Adapt Bluetooth(R) connection between telephone transceiver and telephone handset/ cellular telephone (R54).
